“The change I wanted to see was at first politically.
Then it became a health aspect, and being around for my children, and being a good role model for my children.
The campaign began to give me more versatility, more diversity as a person in general.
One of the ‘weaknesses’ they assessed in my background that I carried, was my employment not being longer than 6 years in any one market. But I saw it as a strength. Being able to go from job to job helped me become more empathetic and more sympathetic with people who are working, and running, and living different lives than myself.
This experience strengthened my mindset to actually make a change, and I was able to touch on different points. Whereas, people who are long term politicians or long term whatever, only necessarily knew what they were dealing with in their point of reference.”
